We are rounding out the last of the Givens Estate with a great collection of books, fabric, and some recently discovered hidden treasures. After digging through the last of the fabric boxes we unearthed several unique textiles such as intricate needlework pieces(some with metal thread), tufted pillows, tassels and trimmings, an Asian silk outfit, and unique quilted works. We were also excited to find several unique pieces of art and antiquities like the below pictured prints by John Hoyland and R.B. Kitaj along with a smattering of ceramic wares.
The thousands of books on this auction cover a wide spectrum of interests. Browse through the auction listing as there is something for everyone. The large bolts of high end fabric and upholstery fabric like this is rarely offered by auction and is a great opportunity to add to your collection or find a unique piece to refurbish that old settee sitting in the garage.
The items offered in this unique auction are best seen first hand. It is difficult to capture the thick plush quality of the fabric and the beautiful detail in the prints found in many of the books. So, please join us for an Open House Preview, Monday, May 6 from 3-6pm. The auction begins closing that evening, May 6, at 7pm.
